Extended Cookie Manager 0.7
Easier cookie managment for Firefox.
Extended Cookie Manager detects if a website sends a cookie and shows if this cookie was blocked, allowed or only allowed for session in the statusbar of your browser. It also enables you to change the cookie permissions of websites on demand.
Extended Cookie Manager is a much easier and less bothering way to handle cookies than letting Firefox ask you everytime to allow a cookie or not.
Languages: English, Dutch, German
What’s new in 0.7:
- New Icons
- New Feature: Always display icon in the statusbar
- New Feature: Block/Allow other subdomains (experimental)
- Bug fixed: Memory leak (Thanks to Robert Hofmann)
- Bug fixed: Exceptions Dialog doesn’t close on MacOSX
- Some minor fixes

While I’m sure this has been suggested before, I’ll take my chance and suggest it once more: wouldn’t it be nice if there was an entry in the pop-up menu reading “Show cookies for this domain”?

Hi,
Thank you for the “Cookie manager” extansion. I cannot find where i can change the language of this extension. Could you please help me ?
I can provide a french translation if you want (but i have not found an email address on this blog to send the translation).

The language of the extension is adjusted by the language of your firefox installation. This means, if you’re using an english firefox the extension uses the english translation files. If your language isn’t present, then the extension uses also the english translation.
I would be pleased if you could make a french translation. You’ll get an email from me soon, Egan.

I have to uninstall cookie manager 0.9 because I can’t understand the meaning of the icons and no tips appear; when I click the icon I just don’t know the meaning of the three dustbin icons and the three aothers. Maybe I,m dumb, but all the other extensions I install in Firefox (vers. 2.0.0.9) give a tip and are easy to use, while cookie manager is not. Thanks

Hi Ubaldo,
that’s not a dustbin, it’s a cookie jar. maybe it’s hard to recognize. Besides that there should be some text next to the icons that help you understand their function. If not, you have found a bug
This can have to do with the language of your Browser. What language is your firefox?
The text aside of the icons should be understood. If not, help me fix that with a suggestion.
