Session Fix 0.3.0

Tag: Firefox Extensions, Session FixAdministrator @ 17:39

I just uploaded a new version of Session Fix on mozilla addon site. It includes two new translations (Swedish and Finnish) and brings a new wanted feature: save session when there’s only one tab open. To use this new feature just check the box in the new preference dialog of Session Fix. You can find it by clicking on the extension in addons-manager and pressing the button “Preferences”.

But i also need YOUR help. There is one little sentence in this dialog i had to translate into various languages. Most of them i’m not fluent in. So if you have a moment just look into the dialog, double check my translation and let me know if anything is wrong. There are also some languages which i’m not able to translate into at all. So if you a native speaker of one of them, help me by translating this sentence from English to it. You can drop your translation right into this blog post as a comment. And… if you like to get credits for it don’t forget to write your name down too.

Languages that need some translation: Japanese, Lithuanian, Russian, Slovak, Turkish, Chinese (Simplified)

The Sentence is: “Always warn when closing Firefox”

P.S.: The addon needs to be verified. So please be patient, because it can take a while before you can download it from addons.mozilla.org.

New in 0.3.0:

- New translations: Swedish (sv-SE) and Finnish (fi-FI)
- New option to always warn when closing firefox (Preference Dialog)
- Better behaviour when more than one firefox window is open

Mhh, maybe a bug in Firefox. Try it with a fresh Firefox profile. This means, backup your current profile to a save place (http://www.borngeek.com/firefox/profile-tutorial/). Don’t forget to close every Firefox window. Remove your profile. Make sure there’s no directory in your profiles folder, because on the next time you start Firefox, it creates a new one. Now you have a fresh profile. Install Session Fix again and try if it works. Sometimes, when you use your profile for a long periode or it gets corupted, Firefox behaves totally crazy.
